His Holiness Karmapa Has Returned to His North American Seat

On this Buddhist holy day of Saka Dawa, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa has returned to the Karmapa's North American seat, Karma Triyana Dharmachakra monastery in Woodstock, New York, established by the 16th Karmapa. KTD's Web site Kagyu.org features a picture gallery from the reception ceremony this morning.

Excellent reportage. I have a collection of Gyalwa Karmapa's photo during his recent teaching for the Tibetans at Hunter College, New York. The link is http://www.flickr.com/photos/tlekshay/sets/72157605116223466/. You can use my photos in your official website and the copyright remains with me.

I look forward to your continuing coverage as His Holiness travels beyond New York. The pictures are especially beautiful.

I feel tremendously blessed having had the opportunity to not only see His Holiness but to prostate in front of him at the Waldorf! I was not able to obtain tickets to the teachings so I was determined to see His Holiness in New York. Not to go into too many details but before I knew it, I was right in front of His Holiness! His Holiness has such a presence that is difficult to describe in words. I hope His Holiness has some quiet time since his schedule seems so busy. May the rest of this historic trip be as blessed as ever and I know we are all praying for an annual visit to the US from His Holiness.

Your altruistic intention is liken to a lamp in the dark.
Your equal compassion to all beings is liken to warmth in winter
You’ve assumed the vast responsibility to help all beings
And pursue the bodhisattva path with fearlessness and no regret.

Your Holiness, our precious Teacher!
You’re the human embodiment of the Three Jewels
Although impermanence is the only thing permanent
Your Holiness, may you live long and show us the Way!

And may USA be the first of the many places to receive your light of wisdom.

Emaho!
